山形城

Yamagata Castle is designated as a national historic site and is one of Japan’s 100 most famous castles. The castle was built during the Sengoku period under Mogami Yoshiaki, and was remodeled into its current form under Torii Tadamasa.The statue of Mogami Yoshiaki within the castle is outstanding. Its bravery is first-rate among the statues of feudal lords that are installed around the country. It is also powerful to photograph.
