首里城

Shuri Castle is the site of a castle on a hill overlooking Naha Harbor.
After being destroyed by fire during the Greater East Asia War, it was rebuilt in 1992 using vermilion as the base color for the pillars, walls, and roof tiles, but in October 2019, seven main buildings including the main hall were destroyed by fire. This photo was taken in the spring of that year.
