大浦天主堂

Oura Church

大浦天主堂は、長崎市の丘の上に佇む日本最古の木造ゴシック様式の教会。白亜の外壁と尖塔が青空に映えて美しい。内部はステンドグラスから差し込む柔らかな光で満たされ、静寂と祈りの雰囲気が漂っている。大浦天主堂は、日本に現存するキリスト教建築物としては最古である。

Oura Tenshudo is the oldest wooden Gothic church in Japan, perched on a hilltop in Nagasaki City. The chalk exterior walls and steeple are beautiful against the blue sky. The interior is filled with soft light streaming in through stained glass windows, creating an atmosphere of silence and prayer. Oura Tenshudo is the oldest existing Christian building in Japan.
