Osaka Castle

大阪城は、大阪市中央区に位置する城。豊臣秀吉によって1583年に築城されましたのがはじまり。現存する城郭は豊臣氏滅亡後に徳川幕府によって建てられたもの。豊臣時代を越える壮大な天守閣や広大な石垣が特徴で、日本の戦国時代を象徴する名城の一つ。大坂浪花のシンボルとして今に生きる。

Osaka Castle is located in Chuo-ku, Osaka City. It was originally built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi in 1583. The present castle was built by the Tokugawa Shogunate after the fall of the Toyotomi clan. It is one of the most famous castles symbolizing the Warring States Period in Japan, featuring a magnificent castle tower and vast stone walls that surpass those of the Toyotomi period. It lives on today as a symbol of Osaka Naniwa.
