加賀手毬

Kaga Temari is a traditional craft handed down in Kanazawa. It is said to have spread during the Edo period when Princess Tamahime, who married into the Maeda family of the Kaga domain from the Tokugawa family, brought it with her as a wedding present.
It has been popular as a plaything for children, but is now generally used as a decorative item. It is a handicraft with beautiful geometric patterns.
