Great Buddha of Nara
奈良の大仏は、東大寺にある本尊である盧舎那仏坐像のことである。大仏殿に収まる巨大な仏像だ。光量が乏しい仏殿の中の撮影となる。大仏に目を奪われがちだが、大仏殿そのものも非常に壮大で華麗な建築である。
The Great Buddha of Nara is the seated statue of Rushanabutsu, the principal image in Todaiji Temple. It is a huge Buddha statue that fits in the Daibutsuden. This photo was taken inside the hall of the Buddha, where light is scarce. Although the Great Buddha is often the focus of attention, the Daibutsuden itself is also a very grand and magnificent structure.
