夕暮れの田原坂

Tabaruzaka at dusk

日本最後の内戦だった西南戦争の最大の激戦地として知られる田原坂。ここは国の史跡に指定されている。
映画『ラストサムライ』のクライマックスの峡谷の風景は田原坂に似ている。そんなことを思いながら夕陽を浴びた。

Tabaruzaka is known as the site of the greatest battle of the Civil War, the last civil war in Japan. It is designated as a national historic site.
The scenery of the canyon at the climax of the movie “ Last Samurai” resembles Tabaruzaka. I basked in the evening sun with this thought in my mind.
