Water Fortune-telling

京都下鴨神社でのおみくじといえば水みくじ。御手洗池におみくじの紙を浸すと文字が浮かび上がる。期待を込めて水面を見つめる若い参拝客を撮影。願い届いたか。

The most popular omikuji at Shimogamo Shrine in Kyoto is mizu-mikuji. Dip the omikuji paper into the Mitarashi Pond and the characters will come to life. I photographed young worshippers gazing expectantly at the surface of the water.Did they wish come true?
